We are thrilled to announce our Zapier integration! Now you can integrate your Contact Information from the respond.io platform to thousands of CRMs, email providers, CMS, analytics tools, ads, etc. Let's have a quick look at this integration.

Our Zapier App is currently on Beta, you can search for it on the Zapier integration or click .

Getting Started

In order to get started with the respond.io - Zapier Integration, you will need the following:

  • A respond.io account (Free)

  • A Zapier account (Free)

Step 1: Create a Zap

Step 2: Select an app

Search for respond.io and select it as the triggering app

Step 3: Select a Trigger

Trigger is an event that will activate your Zap. Currently, we provide 2 types of triggers on Zapier:

  • New Contact The trigger will be activated when a new contact is created. When this trigger is activated, it will then execute the action specified in the corresponding Zap. Example: When a new contact is created on respond.io, add this person's data to a Google Sheet.

  • New or Updated Custom Field The trigger will be activated when a custom field of your choice is added or updated. This can be useful when you want to pass contact information to CRMs or any type of tools that requires a unique identifier (like email address). Example: When an email address is added to a respond.io contact, subscribe this person to a Mailchimp list

Step 4: Obtain Authentication Token

Log in to the respond.io space you wish to connect and navigate to the Settings Module. Click on the Integrations section. Click the blue Connect button next to Zapier and to connect with Zapier. You will be prompted with a dialog with the Authentication Token.

Step 5: Connect your respond.io Account

At Zapier, proceed with Connect an Account and you will be prompted for a respond.io Authentication Token. Paste the token from respond.io and you have successfully connected Zapier to respond.io.

After you have successfully authenticated, you may want to press the Test button to see if your integration is connected properly.

Step 6: Finishing your Zap's Trigger

If you select New or Updated Custom Field as the trigger event, you will need to specify which custom field will be triggering this Zap. By default, you will see Email and Phone in the dropdown list. If you have created other custom fields on respond.io, they will appear in this list too.

Step 7: Review your Zap

You can review your Zap trigger by viewing a sample of a respond.io contact. This way, you can make sure the Zap works as what is expected.

Tip: If you couldn't find the custom field, click on Get More Sample on this page to refresh the custom fields

Step 8: Setup the automation

All you need to complete this Zap is configuring your automation. Choose an app and action to be done for the automation.

Step 9: Test the Zap

Once you have done, test the Zap and make sure it executes as intended.

Log in to your and click on MAKE A ZAP.
